For more than a decade, TMC has managed the contract for Workforce Solutions-Child Care Services (CCS). CCS offers low income parents of Travis County access to quality subsidized child care services through an established network of child care facilities throughout the greater Austin area. Annually, more than 8,000 children are provided with child care services through our program. This service allows thousands of parents to choose and afford a child care provider that best fits their needs.
The services provided by CCS offset the cost of child care, allowing parents to pursue educational and/or employment opportunities. Plus, a parent can feel secure knowing that their child is safe and secure while she/he is at work.
Also, child care providers are given the opportunity to participate in a network of more than 300 child care providers that receive referrals from CCS. These facilities are offered technical assistance, staff training, learning materials for the classroom and receive direct payment for child care services.
