Donna, TX – The children of the Donna Center celebrated Fire Prevention Month with a visit from the Donna Fire Department. The children participated in fire prevention activities with local firemen that included talking to the children about how smoke detectors work, what to do in case of a fire, the stop drop and roll procedure, and the importance of not playing with matches.
Fire Chief Mike Cavazos made a presentation to the children on the different safety equipment that a firefighter uses to protect themselves from a fire.
